Employment Law
This is the main practice area for business clients. The practice focuses on preventative service to help your business stay in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Our goal is to keep you in compliance with the law and out of court. Hourly rates for legal advice and consulting start at $150/hr.
Flat fee services include:
- Representation at unemployment hearing - $150
- Employee handbook review and revision - $200 for handbooks 50 pages or less; $300 for handbooks longer than 50 pages
- Employee handbook from scratch - $400
- Half day employee training on either diversity/nondiscrimination in the workplace or prevention of sexual harassment in the workplace - $500
- Full day employee training on both diversity/nondiscrimination and prevention of sexual harassment - $800
- "Welcome to Arizona" value package, designed for businesses relocating to or opening a new office in Arizona. This package includes a review of your employee handbook, policies and procedures, and payroll practices for compliance with Arizona law. It also includes an overview of Arizona specific employment laws so that you'll be prepared to open your doors here. - $500
Outside General Counsel Services
Do you want the convenience of a general counsel without the headache and expense of having one on your payroll? Do you want to be able to say "My lawyer will call you."? Outside general counsel services might be for you. Services include general business law, contract review, risk management, employment law, and similar legal needs. Services are available on a retainer basis with hourly billing starting at $150/hr or on a retainer basis with prepaid monthly value plans.
- Bronze Plan - $1500/month
- Up to 10 hours per month of legal services
- Additional hours at the discounted rate of $125/hr
- Up to 10 hours per month of legal services
- Silver Plan - $2500/month
- Up to 20 hours per month of legal services
- Additional hours at the discounted rate of $125/hr
- Roll over up to 5 hours per month (subject to a maximum of 10 rolled-over hours)
- Up to 20 hours per month of legal services
- Gold Plan - $3000/month
- Up to 25 hours per month of legal services
- Additional hours at the discounted rate of $120/hr
- Roll over up to 5 hours per month (subject to a maximum of 10 rolled-over hours)
- Up to 25 hours per month of legal services
Individual Clients
The firm represents individual clients who are seeking disability benefits from the Social Security Administration. Services include work at all administrative levels with a primary emphasis on hearings before the Office of Hearings Operations. Federal court appeals of denials by the Appeals Council will be added to the practice area in the near future.
